THE OPPORTUNITY: The North Coast Community Services Society (NCCS) has a position available for a Administrative Assistant III in the incredible community of Prince Rupert where adventure abounds. THE JOB: Supports the Operational requirements of the agency byproviding a variety of administrative, finance and clerical assistance in an office environment; prepares correspondence, reports and other agency documents; maintains a variety of financial and other records, files and related filing systemsunder the supervision of the Executive Director or designate. You will receive and process referrals from related sources such as families, schools, NCCS team members, MCFD CYSN Social Workers and health care providers. You will ensure a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for families, children and youth entering NCCS offices for services. You will foster and maintain relationships with community partners and support agency community engagement initiatives.
THE CANDIDATE: NCCS is looking for an individual who holds the fundamental belief that each individual matters and embraces the need to demonstrate compassion while consistently maintaining professional boundaries with employees, clients, community partners, and other stakeholders. As a
member of an energetic team whose mandate is to provide quality assessment and intervention services using culturally inclusive and trauma informed practices, the successful candidate will offer administrative support to all NCCS teams.
NCCS requires a motivated individual with the following qualifications:
- Grade 12 plus completion of, at minimum, a one year business or office administration program
- Two years recent related experience.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience deemed acceptable to the employer may be considered

- Maintains the confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
- Posses the ability to prioritize workload, adapt to changing conditions and seek support as needed.

Other Requirements:
- Clear Criminal Record Review
- Physical ability to meet job requirements
- Current emergency first aid would be an asset
- Basic bookkeeping skills would be an asset
